Overview
The Spannuth family has been baking pretzels for six generations dating back to the late 1800s. Over those years we have made many types of pretzels but we have become known for baking a tasty, crunchy, split open pretzel called "Splits". "Splits" are not another pretzel shaped cracker, they pack a serious crunch!
During our "Unique" baking process, we let the raw pretzel set to perfection. When ready, the pretzel is placed in the oven where it bursts open creating bubbles and crevices that are crunchy and full of flavor. With our slow baked , all natural process, each and every "Split" is Unique
Your Extra Dark ""Splits"" were left in the oven just a bit longer to allow for a nicely burnt outside, giving it that bold, charred flavor you love... but don't worry, we removed it in time to keep the rest of the pretzels' crunch and flavor.
