In fact, Siete Carnitas Slow Cooker Spice is an all-in-one seasoning, so there's no need to add much more than a little oil, and the veggie or protein of choice- port, chicken, jackfruit, or otherwise. How to Use
Natural Clumping May Occur. Preparation: 1. In a slow cooker, add 2.5 lbs of filling of choice and 1/2 cup of water. Cook on low setting for 6-7 hours (for pork shoulder) or until tender (for other fillings). 2. Once filling is cooked, reserve 1/2 cup of cooking liquid, and drain the rest. 3. Add carnitas seasoning packet to the filling with 1/2 cup of cooking liquid. Mix well. (Optional) For crispy carnitas, spread seasoned filling over a sheet tray, and broil in the oven for 2-3 minutes or until crispy. 4. Enjoy in tacos (makes 24), with rice or chef's choice.
