We've seasoned the lentils in this pouch with Peruvian style sofrito- a traditional cooking base of purple onion, red bell pepper, tomato, garlic, achiote, cumin and cilantro, all gently sauteed in olive oil. The only other ingredients are sea salt and water. The results are full of flavor, nutrients, and history.

How to Use
Stovetop: Do not drain. Empty contents of pouch into a dry pan. Stir over medium-low heat until warm. Cook longer if a thicker consistency is desired. Microwave: Tear 2 inches to vent. Heat on high for 60 seconds. Contents will be hot; take care when handling and emptying pouch. Heating times may vary. Refrigerate unused portion.
